Dear GMC Chapter Members,
As we celebrate National Hispanic Heritage Month and its 2026 theme, “Unidos, somos más” (“United, we are more”), I am reminded of the strength derived from standing together with a shared purpose. This theme embodies what our chapter strives to achieve every day: a community where leadership unites us, where we share the workload, and where each person’s commitment helps us reach our common goals on behalf of the GMC.
Within the GMC Chapter, this unity manifests in many ways. No matter where you are in your membership journey, whether you are an active member, a committee volunteer, or a chapter leader, your contributions matter. When we align under GMC’s support, vision, and resources, we amplify each other’s efforts. We become stronger together because we don’t operate in isolation; we are part of a broader network that empowers us to learn, grow, and lead with confidence.
Our chapter is built on the belief that we are more alike than different. Regardless of our backgrounds or perspectives, we support, mentor, and challenge one another to grow. Through this spirit of collaboration, we demonstrate that unity does not mean uniformity; instead, it involves bringing our individual strengths to the table and moving forward together. How we support one another directly shapes how we contribute to this incredible chapter we serve and, in turn, how our chapter impacts the wider Business Events Industry community.
This year, we have faced genuine challenges, new demands, shifting priorities, and moments of uncertainty. Yet throughout it all, our GMC members have shown remarkable resilience and engagement. We have collaborated, adapted, and supported each other. Rather than shying away from difficult tasks, we have embraced them. As a result, we have emerged stronger and more successful as an organization.
Our growth as a chapter reflects this shared commitment. We are now more connected, visible, and impactful than ever, thanks to each of you who have chosen to invest your time, energy, and voice. Every event attended, every idea shared, and every hour volunteered is a testament to the power of our united chapter community.
As we honor “Unidos, somos más,” I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to every member, supporter, and partner of the GMC Chapter. To those who paved the way before us, those leading and serving today, and those who will join and strengthen this chapter in the future, thank you. Your commitment, support, and belief in our mission make it possible for us to achieve more and be more.
Together, we embody the sentiment that united, we are more. And united, we will continue to build, grow, and serve in the months and years ahead.
With sincere gratitude,
