The Pillar award was created by the Greater Midwest Chapter in 2003 to honor a professional or supplier who is recognized as an unyielding supporter of the Chapter through dedicated participation, enthusiastic committee involvement, and leadership.
Those are certainly characteristics that our 2021 Pillar Award Recipient, Jenny Lynch truly emulates. The minute Jenny Lynch walks into a room, the first thing you notice is her infectious smile and the ability to make everyone feel included. To know Jenny is to see firsthand her enthusiasm, leadership and commitment to the meetings industry and the PCMA-Greater Midwest Chapter.
Jenny is no stranger to the hospitality industry as she started off her career 30 + years ago at the Anheuser-Busch Theme Parks. She was there for 17 years. Afterward, she discovered her passion for the CVB world representing cities such as Virginia Beach, Norfolk, and Dallas. Today, Jenny proudly represents her home state of Indiana as National Sales Manager for Visit Indy. The city of Indianapolis is near and dear to Jenny’s heart. In fact, she has actually attended thirty Indy 500 races and even once drove a race car accelerating up to 110 miles. This might explain her need for speed, having fun, and overall passion for life. She certainly has a passion for PCMA-GMC!!
In the last 9 years, she has volunteered for many local GMC events including the Signature Event, Awards Event, and Holiday event to name a few.
She also serves on the Professional Development Committee and is involved in many other organizations that help support the meetings and conventions industry.
Jenny’s work ethic is simple and authentic. In her words “My vision of leadership in this industry is to be consistent, courageous and have the passion to connect with people. Maintaining a positive attitude in relationships and offering the best customer service”
Jenny currently resides in Chicago, Illinois. She has a beautiful daughter named Jessica who will be getting married soon. In Jenny’s spare time, she enjoys listening to music, (especially Keith Urban), traveling, being outside, trying new restaurants (especially pizza places) and of course spending time with her PCMA friends and industry colleagues! through enthusiastic committee involvement, and leadership.
