President’s Message

May brings blooming flowers, warmer days, and longer hours of sunshine.  It serves as a  reminder to pause amid the hustle and truly stop to ‘smell the roses’.

In the fast-paced world of business event strategists and suppliers, it’s easy to get swept up in deadlines, contracts, and competing priorities. This May, take a moment, both personally and professionally, to pause. Reconnect with the passion you have for the industry, celebrate successes we’ve achieved together, and find inspiration from the beauty that surrounds us. Let this month be a time to recharge, reflect, and renew.

Board Member Transition

Last month there was a resignation from a current planner board member, which has been filled.

The executive committee would like to express the deepest gratitude to Anne Marie Bray for her dedicated service and contributions to the board in her short tenure. Her strategic leadership and insight have made an impact in a short amount of time.

At the same time, we are excited to announce Earla Jones as the new planner board member serving the remaining two year term.  Earla has been a dedicated member of PCMA for over a decade. During her time in the Washington, DC metro area, she was actively involved with the Capital Chapter and now the GMC chapter after her relocation to Chicago. Earla recently served as Co-Chair of the Professional Development Committee. She embodies the spirit of volunteerism and strategy that will benefit the chapter.

Please join the executive committee in thanking Anne Marie for her service and welcoming Earla to the leadership role.
