| May is National Mental Health Awareness Month and in recognition of this awareness, it is a time set aside to help erase the stigma of managing any mental health concern. I would like to encourage everyone within our industry to take a moment and think about what you currently do for self-care. Or if you don’t have a self-care regimen, what would you like to do? Having an active career in our industry can be really stressful and sometimes it can bring out behaviors that do not showcase our best selves. Being honest with ourselves to say, I need some help, I need to take a step back, I need to take a pause, or take a break, can help us return to the work we enjoy and show up as our best authentic selves. There is strength in vulnerability, you don’t have to do life alone, we are in this together.
