| Many of us look forward to the summer months for times with family, friends, relaxation and enjoying time outside. But the summertime can also bring on days of extreme heat and extreme heat can bring on physical instances of heat exhaustion and heat stroke, as well as psychological instances such as irritability, impulsive behavior and trouble concentrating. It is important to take moments to step away from the daily nuances especially for those where summer also means busy travel and convention season!Keep yourself as cool as possible, stay hydrated, get adequate amounts of sleep, watch the sunset, schedule times of being still and focus on your breathing, even if it is only for 15 minutes a day. Your body, mind and soul will thank you. |
