About our Educational Session:
Most meeting professionals find out about security or safety issues after it’s too late. Laptop and projector thefts, meeting or hotel room thefts, meeting attendees choking on food or suffering a medical emergency during an event are all real, everyday events that greatly impact your attendees, clients, customers, as well as your organization’s reputation. As a meeting professional, what steps have you taken to safeguard against these issues? What “reasonable” steps are you taking to protect your client’s safety and security during a meeting or event?

In Kevin Coffey’s presentation, “Travel Risk Reduction: A Guide for Meeting Professionals and Suppliers to Understanding, Avoiding, and Responding to Travel Security Risk Issues,” you’ll learn what steps and precautions you need to take to ensure you are covering the basics for emergency plans during your meeting or event.
