Bold & Brave: Telling Our Stories

Please join the GMC PCMA Inclusion, Diversity & Equity Task Force on Thursday, August 20, 2020 from 12:00 pm – 1:00 pm for the first in a series of educational events titled “Being Black in the Business Events Industry”. Our goal is to answer the questions of “How does Diversity, Equity & Inclusion show up in the Business Events Industry”; and “What can we do to make the Business Events Industry more inclusive for all?”

Our first event, “Bold & Brave: Telling Our Stories”, will highlight the video “Five Questions About Race, Answered by Black Tourism Professionals”, premiered at the Destinations International 2020 Annual Convention featuring well-known Black DMO Executives sharing their stories and experiences dealing with race throughout their career.

A panel discussion will follow, led by IDE Task Force members as they share both their reactions and thoughts as well as reactions from our GMC members. We anticipate the beginning of many robust conversations on a topic that has been silenced for far too long in our industry. We look forward to seeing you there!
