October 2019 Letter From the President

Greetings GMC!

I am so proud of all we have done thus far in 2019!  It’s truly a new day for us and things keep getting better and better.  I’m so happy with the Board, the volunteers, chairs…all of us.  Being under PCMA Management was unquestionably the right move and there is still so much happening this year.

I’m especially ecstatic with all the hard work completed from your Signature Event Task Force.  Get ready for a fantastic meeting and all new networking event.  On November 7, GMC PCMA will be hosting the Annual Business Meeting and Signature Event at WhirlyBall Chicago in Bucktown!  Are you asking yourself “What in the world is WhirlyBall?!” It’s the endorphin inducing answer to your typical outing!  Experience something truly fun and unique as the exhilarating game of WhirlyBall combines lacrosse, hockey, basketball, and bumper cars in a game of fun. In addition to this exciting game, you can also try your hand at ping pong, corn hole, giant Jenga, giant Connect Four and yes, bowling.

Registrations and Sponsorships are available here.

It is that time again and we need your help!  The Greater Midwest Chapter of PCMA is sponsoring our charity fundraiser and we ask for your support by making a donation to the Wine Pull. The Wine Pull is an important part of our fundraising effort with proceeds benefiting GMC PCMA and our affiliated charities; the Mark Henry Fund, Chicago Youth Programs, and the PCMA Foundation.

Wait, there’s more!  Join us at the Millennium Knickerbocker Hotel for our November Educational Program led by communication expert Stacey Hanke entitled “Influence Redefined: Be the Leader You Were Meant to Be, Monday to Monday®” on November 19!  Don’t forget to sign up for a 2020 committee and join us for Chapter Leaders Day and luncheon immediately following this program!

Thank you again to all who came to the September meeting as well!  It was a great program and a terrific turn-out.  See you soon!

Sincerely,

Doug Dvorak
