There’s still time to volunteer!

On behalf of the GMC-PCMA Community Services Committee we are providing a time sensitive opportunity for you to make a commitment to volunteer to help support The Lakeview Pantry in Chicago. As many of you may have seen in our social media in 2020 our CSR Committee volunteered on multiple days in July 2020, and found the experience fun as well as inspiring to giveback to a local community. All Covid protocols were (and are currently) in place at the facility and we felt very comfortable, as the warehouse facility was very clean, in a safe neighborhood and there was/is parking available.

We have heard from many of you, our GMC members, there is a strong interest to volunteer to support a GMC CSR initiative and we wanted to provide these upcoming opportunities at The Lakeview Pantry, 2719 West Roscoe, Chicago for your sign up. The timing and dates are limited and are as follows:

Wednesday, July 21 – 9AM-12PM

Tuesday, July 27 – 9AM-12PM

Saturday, July 24 – 12-4PM (Sheridan Distribution Center location – 5 volunteers needed)

*For Saturday volunteers, there is a requirement to be able to lift boxes that are at least 30 pounds – so please keep this in mind if this is the date you want to commit to.

We have committed to provide 10 volunteers to help prepare food boxes for each date (5 on Saturday) and hope you will consider joining us for one of the volunteer dates noted.
