September 2019 Letter From the President

Hello GMC!

Many exciting things are on the horizon for our chapter in the coming months. Two things that I am very much looking forward to are the upcoming Student Days in Indianapolis and Chicago. Our committee has done a fabulous job coordinating these programs for our university level members which will give them an opportunity to gain insights into the industry from experienced professionals who represent many different areas.

I hope to see you on September 18th at the Loews Chicago O’Hare, 5300 North River Road in Rosemont, for some excellent education. Our program title is Education & Engagement for Modern Times and our speaker is Brent Rogers, Vice President of PSAV Concise and Digital. We will explore ideas around delivering educational content in new ways and making a more engaging experience using both tech- and non-tech-based solutions.  The September Educational Program is sponsored by Visit Reno Tahoe and Explore St. Louis and is in partnership with Association Forum and Visit Aurora Colorado.

For more information on the September program and to register click HEREAs a reminder, Planner rates are a low $45 and include a reception following the program.  See you there and bring your colleagues!

Registration is open for our new and thrilling Signature Event. On November 7th, we’ll see you at WhirlyBall Chicago in Bucktown, 1825 W Webster Avenue from 5pm to 9pm.  There are terrific sponsorship packages and group discounts available HERE and to secure your spot, contact Sarah McKinney at [email protected] .  Experience something truly fun and unique as the exhilarating game of WhirlyBall combines lacrosse, hockey, basketball, and bumper cars in a game of fun.
