Reflecting on the Fall Educational Program

PCMA Industry Relief FundOn September 19 at the Orthopaedic Learning Center in Rosemont, Illinois, GMC PCMA members joined leadership expert, Randy Fox, for his high-energy presentation, “A Leader Worth Following.” Attendees learned how to tap into their full potential and exude the qualities of an influential leader.

This year, our Fall Educational Program grew by 34 participants, totaling 188 attendees. GMC PCMA members enjoyed networking, learning, connecting with Chapter leadership, and discovering new leadership techniques, all while supporting charitable causes.

Following the program, one of our members said “Randy was extremely engaging and interesting. He produced an excellent presentation.” Another felt, “Randy’s presentation was very upbeat and easy to follow. The content was great and I left feeling inspired.”

After attending our educational program, a key-takeaway for one member was to, “think about how I can impact and influence others. What do I want people to say about me when asked who inspires or influences you?” Other attendees left with a renewed perspective on change, new approaches to gathering ideas, and a fresh outlook on leadership.

Meetings Industry FundAnother high point of the event was our members’ generosity. We collected nearly $2,000 in donations for hurricane relief through our raffle and donation drive. The cash donations were shared between the PCMA Education Foundation and the Meetings Industry Fund, aiding industry professionals impacted by the recent hurricanes. Donations made to the Amazon Wishlist went directly to victims in need. Together, Chapter members went above and beyond to show support for our industry colleagues and hurricane victims.
