Happy October Everyone!
Fall is here! The temperatures have dropped, leaves are starting to hit the ground and the stress of deciding what to be for Halloween is weighing heavy on our minds! Shortly thereafter, we will be “gobbling” down a Thanksgiving Feast and enjoying a toast to family and friends. The year has sailed by and it has been an honor over the past nine months to be the President of GMC PCMA during our 25th Year, 2018.
Well we “knocked it out of the ballpark” when our first ever quarterly meeting to be held outside of Chicagoland was successfully held at Miller Park in Milwaukee on September 5. Our Educational Program was followed by a nail-biting Cubs/Brewers Game – yes, the Cubs won! It was a learning curve for all of us and we left with some new and exciting ideas for future ways to continue the outreach to all of our important GMC members outside of Chicago.
Please visit the GMC PCMA website and click on “GET INVOLVED” as we need your expertise in so many areas. The success of our chapter is based solely on volunteerism. It is an excellent avenue to network with your peers and develop potential business and personal relationships to last a lifetime. We are a proud chapter and I look forward to watching it continue to grow. My dedicated involvement for the past 24 years has been integral to my achievements.
DONATIONS! As you all know the upcoming 24th annual Bowl-a-Thon on Thursday, November 8 will be the final Bowl-a-Thon and the end of an era. This decision was not taken lightly, however, with feedback from our membership, the decision was made to try something new in 2019. Details on the new event will come out after the first of the year. With that said, we need DONATIONS for this year’s event. Please click on the link below and show your kindness!
