Marc Anderson, Chief Operating Officer, Choose Chicago 

Marc Anderson has recently been promoted to chief operating officer for Choose Chicago. He most recently served as executive vice president of Choose Chicago and will continue to oversee a team of 50 professionals in convention sales, client services, special events, partnership, sponsorship, and human resources, and will now also include the Chicago Sports Commission. Anderson will also continue to help manage Choose Chicago’s relationships and responsibilities with its Executive Committee and staffing the General Manager Advisory Committee.

Barbara Connell, CAE, CMP, Chief Executive Officer, American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy

Barbara Connell, CAE, CMP, has recently been named CEO of the American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (ASGE). Connell has been with ASGE since 2007, previously serving as the organization’s chief operating officer. She was aslo recently honored with GMC’s Broad Shoulders Award for her involvement on the Board, committees, councils, and more. Additionally, she served as the first president of GMC and is one of the Chapter’s founding members.

Kimberly Hoffman, CMP, DMCP, Director of Event Services, Accent Indy

Our very own. Kimberly Hoffman, CMP, DMCP, was featured in Northstar’s Meetings Group recent article, Rising Stars 2019, which showcases 15 men and women who put their keen intelligence, boundless passion and hopeful vision for the future to work for the meetings industry. Kimberly has been working at Accent Indy since 2011 and currently works as the Director of Event Services. “I love selling and operating programs in a city that has so much to offer,” she says. “It’s been fun to see the city grow, and there’s always something exciting in the pipeline.” Along with being promoted to Director of Event Services, she has also earned her CMP and DMCP along the way.

Stephanie Rennie-Sanchez, CMP, CAE, Senior Manager, Conferences & Meetings at American Society of Safety Professionals

 

We are proud to announce that our very own, Stephanie Rennie-Sanchez, earned her CAE as of Winter 2019. Stephanie has been with the American Society of Safety Professionals since 1993. She is responsible for the event management, design, logistics management and event experience of the Society’s conferences and meetings. Her responsibilities include management of a seven million dollar budget, volunteer management, strategic planning and fostering her team.
