March 2019 Letter from the President

Hello GMC PCMA,

Moving right along! We are almost through the first quarter of our year and it’s already been an exciting time for our Chapter. Convening Leaders was terrific and if you missed the Annual Awards Ceremony in February, a good time was had by all. I am so very excited for our March Educational program at the Blackstone Hotel on March 11. Lesley Picchietti, PCC, CPC, ELI-MP, a Life & Leadership Development Coach at Inspire Bliss Coaching & Consulting, will be discussing, “The Seven Levels of Communication.” This program seeks to help attendees identify the Seven Levels of Communication and the Energy surrounding their communication. Throughout the presentation, you will learn how to shift attention and perceptions toward supporting successful communication, uncover the causes of miscommunication, and understand the ‘why’ and ‘how’ of communicating differently. Registration begins at 1:00 pm and there will be a terrific networking reception following the program. This event is brought to you by Visit Salt Lake and if you haven’t already, you can still register here.

Additionally, keep an eye out for information on our brand new November Signature Event coming very soon! WhirlyBall is not just the name of the event…it’s the name of a game, too. And one crazy-fun game it is! Up to ten players at a time play a game in souped-up bumper cars called WhirlyBugs with scoops and wiffle balls. New and exciting raffles, food, fun, and networking await and for you bowling devotees, we will have plenty of lanes! A few more surprises are in store as well as a myriad of sponsorship opportunities. The save-the-date will be going out shortly!

As always, sponsorship and volunteering opportunities are always available! Sign up for volunteering opportunities on the GMC PCMA website, and if you are interested in having your registration sponsored, contact GMC Staff at [email protected] or review our 2019 Sponsorship Prospectus. See you all soon!

Sincerely,
Doug Dvorak
