Hello GMC Members! The snow melted and now it’s 80 degrees. You just have to love this Chicago weather! I have some exciting updates for our Chapter to share.

Our June Educational Program & Reception is on Thursday, June 7, at the Wyndham Grand in Chicago. Register and take advantage of this great opportunity to network and learn about crisis prevention and disaster management from our best-in-class speaker, Bob Mellinger, CBCV. Our program is designed to give you the knowledge and critical decision-making tools you need to be a reliable event planner.

Hot off the press — our 25th Anniversary Celebration will be held on Wednesday, August 1, at the Brickhouse Tavern, which is part of the Wrigley Field development. Help us celebrate 25 years of success with GMC PCMA at this new and exciting venue. More details to follow, but I hope you will plan now to see us there!

We are thrilled to announce that the September Educational Program & Reception will be held in Milwaukee at Miller Park on Wednesday, September 5. Attendees have the option to add a ticket to the Cubs vs. Brewers game at 7:00pm for only $29. The educational session will take place from 2:00 – 5:00pm, followed by a reception before the game. Please note the meeting is within the confines of Miller Park. We are making a concerted effort this year to reach out to all of our members, all over the Midwest. Register now to join us!

Our committees are all hard at work for members like you. I encourage you to consider volunteering in 2019. Volunteering benefits not only your personal and professional development, but also our industry, and the continued success of our Chapter.
