June 2021 Message from the President

We are halfway through 2021, so it’s a good time to reflect on where we’ve been and look ahead to the continued recovery of our chapter and the industry. Summer is here, so let’s also have a little fun!

All the PCMA chapters will be participating in a Run/Walk Challenge starting June 7th and concluding July 7th at Educon! Let’s show these other chapters what GMC’s got and come out strong. I encourage you to safely meet colleagues and friends for walks or get some steps in by attending our scavenger hunt on June 10th! Use the hashtag #pcma2021runwalkchallenge and post your activity on our social media channels. This open to members, nonmembers, friends & family! In a continued year of flexibility, we have decided to move our Awards Celebration for our 2020 winners to September 28th. Although we understand this is an inconvenience to those who were planning on the original date, we want this to be a big party! Moving the date will allow us to have a larger capacity at the venue, as well as afford our digital taskforce additional time to design a truly amazing hybrid experience! View the press release here.

It goes without saying, but we can’t create these amazing event experiences without sponsor partnerships. If you would like to showcase your company or services to our PCMA GMC community, we would love to work with you to achieve your goals. Visit our page or heck email me if interested: https://greatermidwest.pcma.org/sponsors/

To all our members, sponsors, and volunteers, I want to personally thank you. PCMA GMC was not immune to the challenges many organizations faced, and, honestly, we’re still working through them. But with your continued support, we hope to weather the storm and continue to enjoy brighter days to come!
