Amanda Cecil, Professional Development & Research Leader – The Global Business Travel Association (GBTA)
The Global Business Travel Association (GBTA) has hired Amanda Cecil, Ph.D., to lead GBTA’s professional development and research team. She will retain her position as a full-time professor at Indiana University. In this role, Cecil will lead, implement, and evaluate GBTA’s strategic initiatives to deliver innovative learning, curricula, and research to GBTA members.
Deborah Sexton, FASE, DLS & Associates, Former President & CEO, PCMA
Deborah Sexton, former president and CEO of PCMA, is one of four industry luminaries to be inducted into Destination International’s Hall of Fame. The DI Hall of Fame Award was created in 2014 to honor individuals, “who have changed the future of destination marketing for the better, made significant contributions to the advancement of the industry and shaped travel marketing.” Previous to her tenure at PCMA, Deborah led Choose Chicago. The inductees will be honored at Destination International’s 2018 Annual Convention in Anaheim, California July 11-13.
