Looking ahead, our 2019 Board Nominations are opening next week. Consider if you or someone you know within the GMC community wants to become a part of a fun, hardworking group. Being on the GMC Board is a dedication that is fulfilling and I promise, not too much work! The incoming President for 2019 is Doug Dvorak with Visit Fort Worth…who wouldn’t want to be on Doug’s Board of Director’s?

The 2018 GMC PCMA Awards Nominations are now open! Nominate a member who excels among your colleagues and clients. This is a great opportunity for those who are top notch in our field to be recognized by their peers. Additionally, we have opened our 2019 Call for Volunteers. I strongly encourage you to become a volunteer and take advantage of our great volunteer opportunities that will put your talents to work on one of our hard working committees.

I always mention “how time flies” and it is crazy that it is already August! I hope you all have spent quality time with family and friends. We all work so hard for so many hours, but we must remember our foundation and what really matters! Recently I joined 19 of my closest friends and clients at Jimmy Buffett at Wrigley for a great night. I hope you take advantage of spending time with peers like I did. Chicago is one of the greatest cities in the summertime with the lakefront, rooftop bars and restaurants, and the amazing concert venues.
