Industry Xchange 2018

In partnership with Choose Chicago, this year’s Industry Xchange will explore today’s most compelling issues and celebrate our industry. Get an update on Chicago’s tourism and meeting initiatives during the Choose Chicago Annual Meeting. After that, you will play an active role in the discussion at a unique IX session where we will unpack three issues facing our industry today.

Jack Johnson, Chief Advocacy Officer for Destinations International will share his perspective on alarming research regarding travel bans and their impact on our industry. Industry expert Joan Eisenstodt will then talk about #metoo in the meetings industry and how we have or haven’t moved the needle on diversity and inclusion. In celebration of GMID, Christy Lamagna, Founder of Strategic Meetings and Events, will lead us through a new thought process on how we tell our story, both internally and externally to all our stakeholders. We will dig deep into perceptions, messaging our value and articulating how meetings and events are changing our world.
